I propose that you identify the prototype car for which the majority of this example is similar. That means any 1961 Dodge or Plymouth (Dart, Polara, Fury, Savoy). I take a personal offense to naming this as a Buick by its front end only, while the artist was simply intending to recreate a generic General Motors front from the mid-1950s.

I agree, but it'll fall on deaf ears. Trust me the longer you hang around this site the more frustrated and disappointed you will be. While many times it's harder to ID cars in video games than in movies, it seems most of the people on this site don't really know cars, and make assumptions and wild guesses...it's nothing like IMCDB where most people know their stuff.

How???
Body? Nothing like it.
Tailights? Nothing like it.
Grille? Nothing like it.

It's a mix of 3 cars...

mid 80's Lincoln Continental main body(quarter window of a markVII as the rear door)

82-83 Chevy Malibu Grille

83-86 Bonneville taillights

Packard

Crazy Taxi 3 (2002)
Doesn't look much like an Auburn to me. The upright grille is more like a late 30's Cadillac LeSalle or perhaps a '40 Packard.

International S-Series

Crazy Taxi 2 (2001)
International S-series
Cadillac Seville

Crazy Taxi (1999)
Looks like a crappy version of a Cadillac Seville to me.
Chevrolet Express

Crazy Taxi (1999)
if this is for the van, it's a Chevy or GMC express, with 70's Mopar rallye wheels and a '75 or so Ford van grille.
Chevrolet Bel Air

Crazy Taxi (1999)
'63 Bel-Air or Biscayne. Impala would have 3 taillights, and a '65 looks nothing like this.

The A bodies lasted until '76. Although the Aspen/Volare replaced them, they were both available in 76.
I remember the rear of this car in the game and it's definitely the late 74-76 style. A 73 still has the taillights in the bumper.

Yes, but this is a Chrysler IMO. it's not exact, but look at the grille/headlights, the windows and rear door window shape, and notice the body line "dip" above the rear wheel.

Mafia II (2010)
The side trim and rear do look like a '55/'56 Chevy but the front bumper and grille are more like a '56 Pontiac

Dodge Charger

It's a '68. A '70 has a loop front bumper and a one-piece scoop on the door.
Plymouth Road Runner

Grand Theft Auto (1997)
Yes, '69 Road Runner. Notice the stripes and hood buldges.
.
AMC Javelin

Driver: Parallel Lines (2006)
I'll agree with you on this one :) It does look more like a Javelin, the fender arches and body lines are more like the AMC. I think it does have a few RR or '70 Challenger influence on it though, such as the grille.

Nope. Not an '86....80's Cadillacs have a different grille with park lights under the headlights, pretty much the same taillights though. It's almost spot on for a '79 with this grille, and actually shouldn't be listed as a '77 as they have shorter, wrap around taillights.

Should be changed to a '79.

Why do you keep editing and changing your comments and pics? You think it's a Monte Carlo because some other GTA site probably says it is. If you knew anything about cars you'd see what I mean about the Pontiac tail lights. You people that don't know dick should stop trying to ID stuff.

1976 dart actually
Chevrolet Bel Air Impala

Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (2005)
I would say made for game since it's a hodge podge of different cars, although all the body side chrome is a match for a '58 Chevy Impala.

Ford Galaxie

Tony Hawk's Underground 2 (2004)
The body side textures are straight from a '64 Ford Galaxie. I assume then that's what it's supposed to be. other than having 4 headlights, it doesn't look much like a Chrysler at all.

I'd say Pontiac Grand Prix which the tail lights look much more like, the Monte's tail lights are thinner with integrated back up lights, whereas the pontiac's are on the trunk like the car in the game. And the have the same roof as a Monte Carlo anyways. The front you could go either way...it's not exactly like a Monte Carlo, or the Pontiac. I doubt it's what the game makers had in mind, but to me the front is most like a Dodge 600

1970 Olds Cutlass.................Just without the split in the grill and only one taillight per side. Oddly, early version of the game did have the correct 2 vertical lights per side, I guess it was changed because it looked too correct??
Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)
1970 Olds Cutlass (or 442 if you want)...We already went through this on the GTAIV board. As Skid said on the regular Sabre page it's exactly like the Olds with out the split in the grill. You can even see the cutouts in the bumper where the grill is supposed to end.

Visualize it like this......
